Clara Simanjuntak, a trained architect, transitioned into eco-fashion after a personal health journey led her to organic lifestyles. Fashion design was her childhood dream. She founded Nyana Nyana Eco in 2019, a Singapore-based social enterprise and eco-fashion brand featuring certified organic, naturally dyed fabrics and collaborations with rural Indonesian artisans. The brand uses pre-consumer textile waste in its designs. Clara later founded Something Sustainable, a multi-brand concept store at 102 Tanjong Pagar Road, showcasing her label, local and regional designers, hosting weekly pop-ups promoting conscious sustainable fashion.

-----

Inspired by the flying fish, Guardian of the Blue Sea turns discarded materials into a symbol of renewal and hope. Channeling the ocean’s strength and grace, she blends elegance with urgency. Her wings, made from 100% recycled plastic beads and preloved bracelets, and her flowing indigo dress and tail of salvaged fabric, echo deep currents and shifting tides. Recycled plastic armor across her chest speaks of protection and resilience. Wrapped in blue, she transforms waste into a powerful ocean conservation message. This Barbie doesn’t just wear the sea—she protects it. Every bead is a reminder: the ocean needs guardians, not plastic.
