Driven by curiosity, my artistic journey spans diverse mediums and styles, rooted in a belief that learning has no age limit. Formally trained in representational art and illustration, I explore both representational and abstract forms. I’m drawn to textures, color interplay, and the tactile nature of materials. My process blends spontaneity and intention, often resulting in layered works with diluted colors and surprising patterns. Beyond painting, I find joy in ceramics and crocheting—practices offering a meditative, hands-on connection. Each medium enriches my practice and deepens my exploration of visual expression.
-----
Conscious Couture Barbie is my first ever Barbie, created to celebrate beauty, sustainability, and cultural heritage. Dressed entirely in repurposed materials—save for the wire in her flowers—she embodies mindful creativity. Her skirt is made from sari-blouse fabric from my wedding trousseau, with an underskirt from a decade-old blouse piece. Sequins, ribbons, and bindi are treasured finds from my collection, while her wings are crafted from cardboard packaging and flowers from kitchen towels and tissues. A tribute to my Indian roots, she blends tradition with a sustainable vision, inspiring young minds to embrace conscious living with creativity and pride.
