Floral Preservation with Resin and Mixed Media

By Gigi C | Pressed flower artist, Founder of Artlay Studio

(@artlaystudio | www.artlaystudio.com)

Artwork Valuation: $350

Artlay Studio was founded in Arizona by Gigi C and is now based in Singapore. It began with a love for preserving wildflowers and the memories they hold, discovered while traveling across the U.S. What started as pressing bridal bouquets and hosting small workshops has grown into a floral preservation studio dedicated to helping people tell their story. To date, we’ve helped over 50 individuals and couples turn flowers into timeless wall art. Beyond preservation, we run hands-on workshops and partner with brands to offer mindful, pressed flower experiences in corporate wellness programs.

-----

She’s a city girl who preserves memories through flowers. A symbol of transformation, she turns fleeting petals into timeless wall art through the art of Oshibana. This idea began in Arizona, where she picked wildflowers on road trips—floral souvenirs of moments she didn’t want to lose. Her preserved hydrangea dress, coated in resin, and her wings filled with pressed flowers show how the ephemeral can become something lasting. Her skirt, inspired by the structure of Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove, reflects how Singapore weaves nature into the cityscape. In this fast-paced world, she reminds us to slow down, notice the little things, and carry beauty forward.
