& Isaac Chang | Teenage Artist with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Artwork Valuation: $600

I’m a self-taught polymer clay artist and founder of The Shy Crafter, a homegrown passion project inspired by my son Isaac, who has autism. What began as sensory play to support his needs blossomed into a heartfelt venture celebrating handmade art, inclusion, and quiet strength. I specialize in whimsical miniatures, wearables, and narrative clay pieces that often carry nostalgic or emotional meaning. Through clay, my son and I create together — and connect with others. Our work is rooted in love, storytelling, and the joy of creating something meaningful from humble beginnings.

-----

Flutter & Bloom: A Childhood Gem is a whimsical tribute to innocence, imagination, and growth. Inspired by my earlier Flutter & Bloom earrings, this pastel-winged Barbie features floral details and iced gem–inspired accents—a nostalgic nod to childhood joy.

Created in collaboration with my son Isaac, who made the white florets on her wings and her custom pet dinosaur, she reflects the heart of our shared journey.

Crafted from polymer clay, tulle, and love, she embodies the quiet power of transformation and the beauty that blossoms when we nurture creativity together.
