I love drawing and painting and had exhibited with the contemporary artists in the early 90s, experimenting with installation and performance art, while also freelanced in illustrations and designs. I took up animation as my medium of expression in 1995 while in the UK and worked for commercials. With my animated shorts, I represented the UK in animation festivals around the world picking up awards. Without an animation market at the time of my return in the early 2000s, I got into theatre projections collaborating with dance choreographers. I now work as Creative Consultant for a major education enrichment company.

Coming from an animator/ painter’s angle - I have always loved the beauty of the living body and the movements that come with it. I was pleasantly surprised that the Barbie I picked is a more athletic version than other ones I had seen. This is the first time I am handling a Barbie and has been a challenge to get into her psyche. With the theme of ‘Metamorphosis’, I have decided to free Barbie from her own restrictions which she may not even be aware of. I want Barbie in action and taking charge, going beyond herself.
