Hi, I’m Elizabeth, co-founder of Kueh Ho Jiak. Passionate about heritage, people, and food, I’m grateful to be in the media space where I can share heartfelt stories. Kueh Ho Jiak is rooted in love, hope, and connecting with people from all walks of life. Maia—my childhood best friend—and I reunited after 21 years, bonded by memories of playing with Barbie dolls. Now, she’s part of Kueh Ho Jiak, and together, we’re recreating those memories with a local twist for SG60—celebrating the culture, identity, and heritage of traditional kuehs passed down through generations. It’s a story of friendship, nostalgia, and the power of shared dreams.

------

Bibik City Doll is a kueh maker from @kuehhojiak who believes food brings people together. Her kuehs celebrate a heritage of love, perseverance, patience, and unity—passed down through generations. Created for SG60, this doll also honors the reunion of Elizabeth and Maia, childhood best friends who reconnected after 21 years over memories of playing with Barbie dolls. Dressed in batik with hand-held kuehs and colorful feathered wings, Bibik City Doll is a symbol of hope and resilience.

“There’s always a rainbow after the storm.”

No hardship lasts forever—we will fly and soar with open wings.
