I was in my late 30's and I was searching for a purpose. Then, the lock-down happened, I started doodling for fun. Drawing brought calmness and so much joy from within me - and from there, I knew that illustrating is my true calling. My work showcases nostalgic elements inspired by my childhood memories, my family and our sunny island Singapore. I hope my drawings will bring back one's lovely memories of Singapore, be it growing up here in SG or while visiting.

Growing up in a fishing village in Batam island Indonesia, I grew up surrounded by Mother Nature and its wonder. Toys were make-shift from leaves, sticks and flowers - anything we could find really! The night sky was decorated with stars, like gems and glitters - when lucky, we saw shooting stars. My Barbie is a call for all of us to respect Mother Nature so that it can continue to shine and provide for many generations to come.
