Commenhers is a sustainable fashion brand which aims to make upcycled apparel & accessories as a lifestyle. Upcycling involves repurposing and remodeling apparels to create something of higher quality of value than the original. At Commenhers, we epitomize creativity intertwined with sustainability. Our team is dedicated to crafting fun yet practical designs, setting a new standard in eco-conscious fashion. All of our products are 100% ethically sourced from textile recycling companies and donation drives, and handsewn with love by local housewives and tailors in small batches.
-----
This piece explores the duality of fashion through perspective. From the front, pastel wings evoke beauty and playfulness. From the back, exposed threads and scraps reveal the industry’s hidden waste and environmental cost. It also critiques how fashion, while selling to women, often exploits them through unsafe, underpaid labor. Pink becomes a symbol of contradiction—softness hiding strength and struggle. But chaos becomes potential. What seems like waste is reimagined through upcycling—as a space for creativity and renewal. Ultimately, this design challenges viewers to rethink fashion, beauty, and the systems we accept—because meaning depends on how you choose to see.
