-----
This artwork features a dark-skinned doll dressed in a futuristic outfit crafted entirely from silver cardboard, symbolising innovation and empowerment. The reflective surface evokes themes of transformation and unity, challenging societal perceptions of dark-skinned individuals. The doll’s short haircut signifies strength, defying traditional notions of femininity and beauty. By embracing a modern material, the piece emphasises the potential for resilience and self-expression within marginalised identities. Ultimately, this work seeks to inspire people of all backgrounds and experiences to evolve beyond what they imagine, fostering hope and creativity in the pursuit of shared aspirations.
