Artwork Valuation: $650

With a background in horticulture and a lifelong passion for drawing, I've found a unique artistic voice in paper. My work is a fusion of nature, emotion, and innovation. I transform paper from a flat surface into intricate, three-dimensional sculptures that evoke a sense of wonder. By manipulating light and shadow, I create pieces that invite viewers to explore and interpret. My art is an honest expression of my feelings, captured in the delicate folds and cuts of paper.

-----

Metamorphosis in Bloom centers on the powerful symbolism of transformation, motion, and hope. The sculpture’s expansive, intricately pleated white wings evoke a sense of constant movement and freedom—each fold capturing the energy of flight. At the center, smaller butterflies emerge and disperse, representing dreams taking flight and the ripple effect of uplifted potential. Crafted from offcut paper, recycled food packaging, and repurposed Swarovski beads, the piece reflects my deep commitment to sustainability. Mirroring the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly, this work celebrates the beauty of change and the transformative power of nurturing dreams.
