Beeyarnd is founded by local fibre artist Alicia C. Kirwan. It is created with a purpose to bringing perspectives beyond the conventional impression of yarn. Using yarn as her primary medium, she designs and makes fibre art to encapsulate treasured memories, emotions for her clients. Every fibre art takes is therefore personal to the owners. Her fibre art goes beyond walls to sensory installations for windows display in luxury brands boutiques.
-----
Chrysa embodies a hybrid creature, part silk moth, part dreamer, symbolizing transformation, hard work, and resourcefulness. Inspired by the delicate textures of metamorphosis, she reflects the virtues I cherished as a child: imagination born from limitation, and joy discovered through pretend play. Back then, scraps and found materials became portals to other worlds, an ethos I still carry today. Set in a sci-fi universe, she offers a form of escapism, inviting alternative perspectives and untold possibilities. This Barbie isn’t just a toy; she’s a tribute to creativity as survival and the beauty of building something wondrous from almost nothing.
